The varsity soccer team won its second match of the season last evening, defeating Portland High School, 1-0, at MUS.
Senior Louis Ghawji's goal was all the Owls needed as their defense stymied the Purple Panthers.
The win improves the team to 2-1-1.
The Owls defeated Harding in their first game of the season. Then against a talented Collierville squad, they tied the Dragons, 1-1. In game three, MUS suffered their first loss of 2007 as region rival Christian Brothers beat the Owls.
MUS next takes on Kingsbury at home tomorrow evening. The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
