The MUS varsity soccer team began its season last Tuesday as they took on the Lynx from Lausanne on the MUS soccer field.
With a solid senior class and great talent in all areas, Coach Vincent Beck’s Owls are looking to return to the heights they reached in 2004 as they claimed a state title that year.
The 2006 Owls got off to a good start last Tuesday as they dominated Lausanne, 11-0.
Six different players scored in the drubbing of the Lynx.
West Askew, Brian Evans, Louis Ghawji, Matt Johnson, Daniel Lansky, and Corbin Linebarier all scored for MUS while Ghawji and Evans both recorded hat tricks (scoring three goals).
Next up for the Owls is Ridgeway at Mike Rose Soccer Complex. The game will start at 7:00 p.m.
