HAVE YOU FINISHED YOUR SUMMER READING YET?
SUMMER READING AND WRITING FOR GRADES 7-10:
A summer-reading program benefits the student in experiencing words and ideas and in building vocabulary, reading speed, and comprehension for the coming year’s work. During this course, students will read a book from the MUS Summer Reading List. Class time will include discussion and exercises
designed to increase each student’s comprehension of the book and prepare students to take the Summer Reading tests in the fall. Students will also review basic elements of composition and practice pre-writing techniques. These classes are offered only to MUS students. Students enrolled in these
courses must still take the Summer-Reading tests in the fall during the regular school year. Visit the Summer Programs page at www.musowls.org for more information.
