The After School Academic Program (ASAP) continues daily until 5:30 p.m., but it is not required for those who stay on campus following regular school hours.
Homework Detention (for students who are in danger of accumulating a homework backlog due to failure to complete daily assignments) continues daily from 3:40-4:30 p.m. It is a proctored after-school service, and the charge is $10 per day. Students who skip, "double dip."
What that means is that students assigned the opportunity to complete assignments while on campus during the day the work is expected are to report to Homework Detention in the Dunavant Lecture Hall.
Those who chose to avoid the appointment receive the opportunity to experience two days of HD as a result. For perspective, during Third Quarter, 74 Lower School students (about 44% of the overall Lower School enrollment) never acquired a Homework Detention. These guys planned their work and worked their plans. If they can, everyone can!
Please encourage the lads to use their time wisely so that they can enjoy all many the opportunities afforded to them now that Spring has sprung.
