As we adjust to our new online operating system, both our students and our teachers are gradually getting the hang of new procedures. Please be patient as a parent. These transitions cannot anticipate every scenario, and we are discovering more improvements daily, and we are helping the boys enact the proper steps.
All that said, we instruct the boys to record properly their daily assignments in their Assignment Books. Before they leave the classroom, they are to take the time to write the assigned homework details for the correct day. Every class.
On Fridays, the boys are to leave campus with next week's assignments recorded in full in their Assignment Books. Therefore, there is no need for parents to verify the MUS online assignment process as we work out a few bugs. The boys know what they are expected to do.
Do your son a favor. Help him fulfill his responsibilities by not driving away from campus without him showing you his completed Assignment Book and the associated textbooks!
Bonus reminder: Friday does not include periods 1 and 2. Therefore, Thursdays are the last class meetings of these subjects every week. The three-day hiatus can be a lifetime for some boys. Out of sight = Out of mind. Thus, Mondays can come roaring in like a train to some for whom last Thursday is a distant memory.
Solution suggestion: "Junior, show me your Monday assignments, and provide evidence of the corresponding textbooks in your book bag before I pull away from this curb into a weekend of academic oblivion."
Fridays sure are fun around here, but, remember..."Monday's a'comin!'"
