Tyler Hansbrough (above) achieved at Chapel Hill. He may or not have taken the ERB achievement tests while he prepped up the road at Poplar Bluff, MO, but our boys sure will, and they begin next week.
It's probably good for our students to associate themselves with a strong work ethic like that of the former college star, now NBA player, who clearly maximized his potential in high school and college. Plus, Mrs. Askew is a big UNC fan, still reeling from the loss to Kansas last week in the NCAA Tournament. We wish her well towards a speedy recovery as she remembers the recent Tar Heel glory days.
The CTP IV achievement test is printed on the official school calendar each year as MUS deems it to be an important measure of student, well, "achievement" for lack of a better word. We monitor student progress and look for trends in a boy's academic demonstrated ability as a way of understanding better his academic results. Therefore, we test, and we think it is important to do so given the expectations and trajectory of our students.
